Casting America is available to be hired by production companies and ad agencies to work in your behalf as casting directors and/or talent wranglers. In this capacity, we screen, audition and sign talent specific to the requirements of your project, negotiating within the budgetary limitations you have established. We will work through our own listings as well as through agents in the region to find the right talent, with the right experience and professionalism for the job. Casting America can also secure and wrangle extras for reasonable rates.
Online Portfolio Pages
The Casting America web site has been designed first and foremost for the models, actors, musicians and performers who are seeking to work and grow within the entertainment industry. Our Online Portfolio Pages are a key component in this offering. If you are either a new or established talent seeking greater exposure, then we are the ones to consider. Our online portfolio pages -- customizable from a single actor's head shot to a complete multipage modeling portfolio -- are in a position to be seen by the right people and used in the right way. If you are a model, how expensive are your composite cards? They can range from $1.50 for cheap laser cards to several dollars a card for the more elaborate multipage composites. Each time an agent puts you up for a job as a model -- or each time you independently apply for one -- it costs you the price of the card, and at times the price for federal expressing it to the source. Our online portfolio pages are designed to reduce many of these costs. If you are a model and you either place your complete composite or complete portfolio online, then you often do not have to mail a card. It is important to note a key point here though. There are a number of services on the Internet that offer listings for models. However, there are many flaws with these. The overwhelming majority of them are not seen by anyone of value in the industry because they are not being promoted to the industry. Many are photographers' sites being used to promote the work of the photographer, not to get the models noticed by agents. Many do not give the model a direct page where the searching party can simply enter his or her online address and have the page pop up. And, even more important, almost none can serve as a true composite or portfolio substitute. Why? They either show most of the photos as small thumbnails which do not print well, or have the photos themselves at such a low resolution that they print badly... Many have the pages set up wrong for an agent or ad agency to review it in printed form. And most make the background black or dark, which uses up too much ink for the agent to print. Our online portfolio pages can have many types of backgrounds ranging from white to black -- but if you want the page to truly be downloadable, you will opt for white. The pages are setup with full size photos that print clearly and easily for agents and others who upon seeing these can print them off to use for audition and job consideration. Casting America offers to serve as personal manager for the right qualified talent. These services include evaluating the look, skills and training of the individual talent (model, actor, vocalist) and helping to further hone their look and/or skills. We the determine which markets are appropriate to the talent and help to put a campaign together for those arenas and to secure several different agents for the talent. We believe that, in the early stages, it is wrong to gamble everything on one agency, so we help to broaden the opportunities. If we are managing the talent, we do audition consultations as well as contract reviews (so that the talent does not need to pay hundreds to attorneys). Our percentage for managing talent is 10%. Kickstart Program
Many of those who come to us have never modeled or acted before -- or have done so in a very minor way. As a result, they are confused on how to get started in the business -- the right away to approach the entertainment world and say, "Look at me! Here I am!" The Kickstart program helps new talent significantly. Here we package many of the initial elements into one program to get things into motion for the model, actor, musician and performer. The program is $240 for one year and includes doing a lifetime evaluation of everything the model or actor has done inside or outside the industry so that we can put together as strong of an initial entertainment resume as possible. We design, write and print the resumes for the talent. Some may ask how can a resume be composed for someone who has done nothing? This is when our skills are needed the most. In modeling and acting, every VISUAL skill that a person possesses becomes important. While the individual may not have worked professionally as an actor or model, one of their skills may increase their chances of breaking in: sports, hobbies, training, jobs -- these all come into play. We also dig for every entertainment related function the talent has ever done -- including plays in third grade and fashion shows for the local church. Along with the resumes we compose letters to be sent to specific agents whom we want to look at the model or actor. These letters cannot be "To Whom It May Concern" introductions -- they should be professional, showing that the talent understands the way the business works. Also as a part of the package, the talent receives a free one year online portfolio page on the Casting America web site -- it includes one photo and two categories. Additional photos may be added at the standard $20 rate. The Online Portfolio page offers the new talent unprecedented exposure to agents, producers, directors, casting directors, ad agencies, recording companies and more. They need to see what you look like if you want to be considered for a job. Casting America also offers guidance relative to photography and training as part of the program. Talent Scouts
Casting America is seeking talent scouts who are willing to be trained to seek out and screen talent for us -- and to set up seminars and workshops throughout the country. Casting America, in seeking to achieve an international network of accessible talent, will teach qualified applicants to establish and operate businesses within the talent industry. Principally, to set up your own talent management company, complete with training in at your location and the rights to attach your activities to our web offerings, the cost will be $5,000.00 - not including travel.
